PlayStation Neo becomes the PlayStation ProIt has been known for a while now since E3 that Sony have been building a new 4K console. Whilst initially rumoured to be called the PlayStation ‘Neo’, it has tonight been officially announced as the PlayStation 4 Pro.

Take a look at how the new console looks below!

As well as the 4K upgrade, the PlayStation 4 Pro has a few nifty little upgrades too; This is an Feature List Item that is part of an Feature List. A firmware update next week will bring HDR to all PlayStation 4 consoles, allowing for better contrasts in colours (you’ll need a HDR compatible TV though to get the benefit).

The PlayStation 4 Pro is said to be a ‘companion’ to the PS4, but let’s face it, do we all have the money to own both consoles? Sony have stated however that the Pro console will even make visuals look better on non-4K TV’s. Whether this is just to boost the sales I’m not too sure, but time will time.

Let rKade know if you’ll be getting the new console in the comments below! PlayStation 4 Pro will be released 10th November, 2016. Just in time for Christmas.share this story

I created rKade, hence the name! My favourite game has to be Uncharted 2 - I was 16 when that game come out and it was just huge. My favourite film is Back to the Future, closely followed by Die Hard, of course.
