Lionsgate have announced that John Wick 2 is officially coming.
Thankfully, Keanu Reeves is returning as Wick. But in more good news, so are director’s David Leitch and Chad Stahelski. Screenwriter Derek Kolstad will also pen the story for the second time around.
With such tremendous fan and critical support for John Wick, we knew that there was still so much more of this story to tell. We are thrilled that Keanu, David and Chad have re-teamed with us and promise to bring audiences even more excitement the second time around.
One reason why I think Taken 2 didn’t work as well as the first was because they lost the original’s director, so keeping the team together for a John Wick sequel is great news. But, I have reservations because, after all, it’s a sequel – and sequels just seem to be cursed bar the odd exception.
