Ben Affleck’s take on Batman was one of very few positives to come from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The film was overly-long, badly edited and the last act was just so OTT. Zack Snyder directed Batman v Superman and is also at the helm for Justice League – DC’s version of Marvel’s The Avengers.
This movie looks a lot light in tone than BvS which is a good thing, because there wasn’t much to laugh about at all with BvS (I will try to stop hating on that film, for now). Batman looks to bring together Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg to form a deadly team to basically kick the shit out of the bad guys. It will be interesting to see if there is any link to Suicide Squad, which Batman also appears in; he is getting around. Furthermore, Ben Affleck is currently finishing writing and will then direct a standalone Batman movie.
To say that Justice League looks better than Batman v Superman may be an understatement. It actually looks pretty cool! Will this be better than The Avengers movies though? We will have to wait and see.
Justice League is currently set for a release date of 17th November, 2017 in the UK.
