Darth Maul was always pretty cool though. The Star Wars prequels were pretty poor. That is a given. Despite Episodes 1-3 being a disappointment, we can take Darth Maul as being a positive. His *SPOILER ALERT* death in Episode 1 made his character seem smaller than it could have been.
A Darth Maul origins story idea has been floating around for a while now. But thankfully we have been gifted a fan made film called Darth Maul: Apprentice.
Check it out below.“We worked incredibly hard on this film for almost 2 years! We always felt that Darth Maul should have had more screen time. So we wanted to create a film just for him with the best lightsaber fights we could do!”
The quality of fan films has been upped massively. You can see the quality here and definitely makes us interested in a full length feature film based on the sith.
Despite no official Darth Maul film in the pipeline, Disney have Han Solo and Boba Fett standalone projects in the works. Check out the future Star Wars Universe films RIGHT HERE.
